Dingle Peninsula, County Kerry
Dingle, located on the Dingle Penisula is a must see location when visiting County Kerry. Dingle was recently given the Irish name "Daingean Uí Chúis' but is known the world over as Dingle.
The Dingle Regatta is famous both as an annual sailing festival and traditional Irish tune. Dingle Regatta generally takes place early August.
One of the most famous inhabitants of Dingle is Fungie the dolphin who has been a regular in Dingle since first being spotted in 1984.
The film "Ryan's Daughter" was filmed on Dingle Penisula at Dunquin and Slea Head. It is from here that you can travel by boat to the Blasket Islands the home of Peig Sayers.
