Baltimore, County Cork
Baltimore is located in western County Cork, Province of Munster. This town attracts visitors from elsewhere in Europe and all over the world.
When visiting Baltimore there are many sights to see and things to do that will interest any tourists to that part of Ireland.
While staying in Baltimore you will find attractions such as scuba diving with the number of shipwrecks in the bay, sea angling or you can visit O'Driscoll Castle, overlooking the town, which was recently restored and is open to the public. Baltimore is also the main ferry port to Cape Clear and Sherkin Island and seasonal ferries run to Heir Island and Schull.
There are some major events in Baltimore each year such as Baltimore Wooden Boat Festival which is a celebration of the traditional timber sailing boats of Ireland in May or the Baltimore Sea Angling Festival the last weekend of august.
