county clareLiscannor (Irish: meaning 'Fort of O'Connor') is a coastal village in County Clare. On the west coast of Ireland, on Liscannor Bay, the village is located on the R478 road between Lahinch, to the east, and Doolin, to the north.

Liscannor is also noted as the birthplace of engineer and submarine innovator John Philip Holland. Today, a headstone, commemorating his career, presented to the town by the U.S. Navy, can be viewed at the harbour.
